About NPA

National Personnel Associates Cooperative, Inc. is a global network of professional employment consultants. The defining characteristic of NPA is that it is a member-owned entity. Since every partner is a part owner of the network, the profit incentive for membership is at the membership level. Member ownership translates into quality, into zero tolerance for ethics violations, and into user-friendly products and services. It ensures that individuality and uniqueness are not sacrificed, but rather are valued.

NPA, founded in 1956, exists to facilitate cooperative placements (or "splits") between its partners. The cooperative is governed by an elected Board of Directors and supported by its staff headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

SpecialtyNets

SpecialtyNets are groups of NPA recruiters sharing similar occupational specialties. SpecialtyNet participants network with each other during meetings, share information about their markets through newsletters, and foster NPA activity within their occupational areas. There are presently eight SpecialtyNets:

Locations

The foundation of all NPA trading activity lies in the "But For and Extension of Service" principle: But for information received from an affiliate, a placement would not have taken place; therefore it is a split placement.

Quality Circle of Excellence

NPA has a Quality Committee of volunteer partners who monitor and develop standards for quality practices within the network. In a continuing effort to stress the importance of quality within NPA, and to encourage every NPA consultant to pursue the highest level of quality, a Quality Circle of Excellence has been established. Interested consultants may make application to join the Quality Circle of Excellence, and must demonstrate a history of successful cooperative placement activity.

NPA Contract Services, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NPA founded to provide contract staffing services for NPA partners.
